In the beginning…..
I am sitting here trying to write something profound–you know the type of thing that great writers write to get people interested quickly so they will read their musings all the time, hanging on every word like the roots of a tree that cling to a cliff (hmmm… maybe tree roots clinging to a cliff, cliff clinging roots, or simply roots on a cliff). Deep down I want others to know how very thoughtful and insightful I can be.You see, starting my third blog feels like I’m in one of Gary Larson’s Far Side cartoons. Particularly the one in which the entire frame is a crowd of penguins. In this crowd one penguin is jumping with his flipper stretched towards the sky shouting, “I just want to be me.” I want to say what I think. Be myself. Let the chips fall where they may, even if I do write some cliches. Oh, now that is bad.
